ABOUT MHRLM
- Established 2009 -
Mile High Labrador Retriever Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating homeless Labradors and Lab mixes from high-kill shelters, primarily out of state. We work to reduce needless euthanasia by providing medical care, fostering, and adoption services, while also promoting responsible pet ownership through education and community events.
Many of the Labs we rescue were on the brink of euthanasia simply due to overcrowded shelters or lack of adoption interest. Some come from facilities that still use inhumane euthanasia methods. Our mission is to give these dogs a second chance at a loving home.
Since 2009, we’ve built an incredible network of volunteers across the country, rescuing Labs from over 20 states. We primarily serve Colorado and Texas, working tirelessly to transport dogs to safety, place them in foster care, and match them with their perfect forever families.
Every Lab deserves a chance. Join us in saving lives—adopt, foster, or support MHLRM today!
