MILE HIGH LABRADOR RETRIEVER MISSION
Mile High Labrador Retriever Mission (MHLRM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming homeless and at-risk Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes, primarily from overcrowded, high-kill shelters across the country. Our mission is to save these dogs from euthanasia, provide them with medical care and rehabilitation, and find them loving forever homes.
Most of our adoptable dogs come from shelters that are at capacity or have been overlooked for too long. Sadly, many face inhumane euthanasia methods. Since 2009, we've worked with a nationwide network of volunteers to transport Labs to safety, rescuing dogs from over 20 states, including Texas and Colorado, where we are most active.
When we learn of a dog in need, we coordinate foster care, provide necessary medical treatment, and transport them to Colorado. From there, we match them with caring families, giving them a second chance at life. Through rescue efforts, education, and advocacy, we strive to promote responsible pet ownership and improve the lives of Labradors in need.
